Job Description

​

  • Conduct all aspects of client on-boarding including the fulfilment of AML and KYC requirements. 

  • Carrying out periodic reviews of clients KYC according to internal AML policies. 

  • Coordinating with the client officer's during the client lifecycle both at onboarding stage and similarly during post Incorporation transaction reviews.

  • Supporting the implementation of any new compliance projects for the Firm or its group entities. 

  • Acting as MLRO for the Firm in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

  • Ensuring that all applicable returns are filed with regulators within the specified timelines.

  • Develop and deliver internal training on AML matters which includes keeping team members informed of any changes in policies, procedures, systems and controls. 

  • Reviewing and updating internal policies, procedures and guidelines on an ongoing basis, further to any changes in regulation, or introduction of a new financial product or service. 

  • Reporting on any AML/CFT and compliance matters to the board on a regular basis.

  • Receive and analyse any Internal suspicious activity reports and determine whether report should be submitted to the UAE FIU. 

  • Acting as an authorised point of contact for the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

 

Job Requirements

​

  • An experienced paralegal or junior lawyer from a common law jurisdiction.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent legal qualification.

  • Interest in the regional start-up ecosystem and its development.

  • Possesses solid legal technical expertise as well as sound business and people judgement.

  • Hands on at work and can be independent in managing projects.

  • Excellent legal drafting and interpretation skills.
